SUMMARY:Play and Build | Burr Oak Room
DESCRIPTION:At the request of local caregivers and with the help of the Fri
 ends of the Library\, the Burr Oak room in the lower level of the library 
 will transform on Tuesday mornings to the Play &amp\; Build room.\n\nA wid
 e variety of open-ended play opportunities for newborns to 6-year-olds wil
 l be available from 10 am- 12pm.\n\nThere will be large and fine motor ski
 ll developing toys along with color identification and shape sorting activ
 ities to allow children to learn the skills of early literacy\, problem so
 lving\, sharing\, and working within groups in a safe environment outside 
 the home. Children practice decision-making skills\, move at their own pac
 e\, and discover their own interests during play. The large area in the Bu
 rr Oak room also provides space for the little ones to burn off some energ
 y in the winter months.\n\nChildren must always be supervised by their par
 ents or caregivers\, but it’s a great way to meet other local families a
 nd neighbors.\n\nCome play and build friendships\, block towers\, muscles\
 , skills\, and confidence!
