The library Knitting Group meets every Monday from 10 am -noon, and all skill levels are welcome. If you want to get into the hobby or practice a new pattern, then come visit with your neighbors and enjoy time learning and doing together. If you’ve read or listened to a new book over the past few weeks, then we would love to have you join us for Roasts & Reads at 10 am on May 3, by the fireplace. We can sip on some coffee, talk over recent reads, learn about what’s coming out, give recommendations to others around the circle, and place holds to keep you reading all month long.  For the kids and caregivers, Storytime is every Wednesday starting at 10 am.  The Friends also have a Book Sale coming up on Wednesday, May 4 from 1-4 pm. If you haven’t visited the library recently, stop by soon to visit with us and see all that we have to share with you!

There are still a few spaces in our upcoming free Heartsaver Adult and Infant/Child CPR course with certified CPR instructor Beth MacGowan on Saturday, April 30 from 9 am-noon. Although the course is free, if you need CPR certification for your job, registration costs $20 through the American Heart Association. Please stop by the library or give us a call to get on the list.

In celebration of Earth Day, we recently gave out 60 Red Oak saplings to interested library visitors. Hopefully each one has been planted in its new home and they will grow and beautify our community for generations to come. Thank you to our tree adopters!

Our Thursday Movie Matinee lineup includes Belfast on April 28th, and Spiderman: No Way Home on May 5th. Both start at 2:00 pm in the lower-level meeting room on the big screen, and popcorn is provided.
