We’ll be hosting a Friends Spring Book Sale this Saturday from 9 am to 1pm. As a special treat for this sale, the library Knitting Group has a table of handmade items for you to peruse and purchase. We continue to receive many book and movie donations, and they are waiting for new homes. Perhaps yours?

Next week on Thursday, March 24 at 1 pm, we have another opportunity to join us for a Crafternoon experience. This time you are invited to join us for a demonstration on how to make your own coffee hand scrub. After the presentation, you can dive in and get a little messy to make your own batch to take home. Please bring a jar or container to decorate, all other materials will be provided. It’s the perfect time of year to buff away those dry winter hands and get ready for spring.

Speaking of spring, we’re big on gardening here at the library. This is the tenth year of our seed library, and our seeds are now out and ready for swapping. If you’re looking to try your hands at growing this year, we have a lot of heirloom and/or open pollinated seeds, along with some others. We ask that you bring some extra seeds you might have to swap with neighbors this spring or bring collected seeds back to the library at the end of the growing season. We will continue to have a small demonstration garden in front of the library so we can enjoy growing together.
