Newspaper Column for January 30, 2020

We have some events coming up to help take your mind off all the cold and gray outside. This afternoon we have our final showing of Parasite at 1 pm. The next film in our Road to the Oscars series is Harriet starring Cynthia Erivo. The film earned two nominations for Best Actress and Best Original Song. Showtimes are 6 pm on Tuesday, February 4th and 1 pm on Thursday February 6th.

In other news, the 2020 Census is rapidly approaching and with it comes opportunity! Carol Clitz, a local representative of the Census, will be manning a table at the library with information on working for the Census and ready to answer any questions you may have. The positions are temporary, the hours are flexible, and they just upped the wages to $17-$22 an hour. Carol will be here on the following dates:

Thursday, January 30 from 10 am-noon

Monday, February 3 from 10 am-noon

Tuesday, February 4 from 9-11 am

If you can’t make it to meet Carol but are still interested, we have information available at the library anytime. Have a great week!
