Local history lovers are invited to attend a presentation Sunday, June 18 from 2-3pm by Green Lake Conservancy board member Tom Schultz on the history and natural beauty of the newly acquired Powell Spring Conservancy. Powell Spring is a heavily wooded property with one of the largest natural springs feeding Green Lake. The land has a rich history dating back to the 1700’s and this will be a great opportunity to learn all about it before taking the first chance to explore the restoration work and Powell Spring property at the July 1st open house held by the Green Lake Conservancy.
Summer reading programming starts on June 19th for kids and adults alike. Visit the front desk to pick up a reading bingo card to join in the fun, earn prizes, and have a chance to give back to the community. Next week also holds the next opportunity to shop the Friends Book Sale on Wednesday, June 21 from 1-4pm. Visit our calendar at greenlakelibrary.org or our Caestecker Public Library Facebook page for more information. We hope to see you soon!
