Labor Day weekend is upon us and that brings a change in the normal library schedule. The library will be closed Sunday and Monday September 3 & 4 in observance of the holiday. We hope your holiday celebrations are fun-filled, safe, and happy. Even though our building will be closed, our electronic resources are always accessible. If you haven’t done so yet, download the apps for Mango Languages, hoopla, kanopy, and Libby for activities, movies, magazines, audiobooks, and eBooks all for free with your library card.

Planning leisure or family activities for the weekend?  The library may have just what you need. Our Library of Things includes pickle ball sets, disk golf sets, a telescope, metal detector, ukelele, fishing gear, WI biking maps, kites, trekking poles, WI Lakes Trivia and more.  Items check out for one week.

Trying to recall well-loved recipes from years gone by for weekend picnics?  Check out The Heritage Collection of Heidel Family Recipes, What’s Cookin’ in Green Lake County, The Flavor of Wisconsin, Sarah’s Home Cooked Meals Made Easy, Cooking & Baking with Kingston, WI Community Favorites, or A Taste of…once in a Blue Moon, or many more from our extensive cookbook collection.

Don’t forget to mark your calendar for the Friends of the Library book sale during Green Lake’s Golden Days Harvest Fest.  New donations arrive almost every day.  No matter how often you visit, you’ll find something new to spark your interest.
