Our Caestecker Cooks the Cookbook Club kicks off this month with our first lunch on Thursday, May 16 from 11:30 am-1:00 pm in the Burr Oak room. If you’re new to the idea, this is a book club dedicated to cookbooks! Each month we will highlight a selected cookbook and club attendees can select and prepare one recipe from the chosen cookbook. Bring your dish to our monthly meeting for a potluck style sampling social. Our first cookbook selection for 2024 is Come on Over by Jeff Mauro.
How to get in the mix:
- Browse or check out the featured cookbook, copies will be available at the library.
- Sign up at the front desk with your chosen recipe from the cookbook. New members welcome!
- Bring your dish to the monthly meeting.
- Eat, drink, and be merry with us!
- One copy of the cookbook will be given away at lunch, courtesy of the Friends of the Library.
We will be taking a break from Thursday Movie Matinees this month, but other regularly scheduled programs and opportunities continue. Our Spice of the Month will be Herbs de Provence and will be available on Monday, May 6. One special program to mark on your calendars will be a live animal program with J&R Aquatic Animal Rescue on Saturday, May 25 at 10:00 am.
