With New Years’ resolutions come new opportunities to connect at the library.  We have a variety of programming, drop-in activities, and a new Community Cozy Corner located in the foyer to enjoy this month.

All skill levels are welcome to drop by and play Mahjong on Wednesdays between 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. in the Hickory Meeting room. One Mahjong set will be provided by a community member, along with cards. If you have your own Mahjong card or set, please bring it with you.

After a variety of conversations with library patrons, we are kicking off a creative writing for adults’ program to draw out the memoirs and musings that are waiting to make the leap to paper. Participants are invited to explore the writer’s craft, share current projects, receive constructive feedback, and find inspiration during this monthly workshop. Writers of all levels are welcome, from beginners to seasoned authors. Mark your calendars for the first meeting on Sunday, January 19 starting at 1:30 pm.

After school on Tuesdays from 3-5 pm, we’re bringing back Lego Club for enthusiasts of all ages. Staff will choose a weekly project theme with springboard instructions, but builders are welcome to create their own masterpieces. Wednesdays starting at 11 am after Storytime with Margie, our younger kids are welcome to stay for Duplo Club.

Winter weather is here, and it’s the perfect time to visit our new Community Cozy Corner. Share the warmth this season by giving what you can and taking what you need. The Cozy Corner came together with community inspiration and generosity. What a generous and thoughtful community we have!
