The Caestecker Public Library invites you to dive into our lineup of programs this October. Sit & Stitch kicks off the activities this week on Thursday, October 10th, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. This monthly gathering welcomes quilters, embroiderers, and sewing enthusiasts of all skill levels. Bring your projects and materials to the library and spend the day crafting in good company. Help is available for beginners, and you’re welcome to drop in whenever you like. Attendees are welcome to bring in lunch or visit a local restaurant to make the day complete.
On Friday, October 11th, from 3:00- 4:00 pm, come enjoy a festive Crafternoon making delightful pumpkin decorations using colorful pipe cleaners. Then, on Wednesday, October 16th, from 4:00 to 5:00 pm, teens are invited to participate in a Glow-in-the-Dark Painting session, where they will create spooky masterpieces with provided canvases and stencils. Both events are free, and registration is not required.
For those seeking a quieter experience, we are restarting our Silent Readers Book Club on Thursday, October 17, starting at 2:00 pm. This unique club allows participants to enjoy the pleasure of reading independently alongside others without the pressure of conversation, with an optional discussion at the end. Attendees can share their thoughts about what they read, recommend books, or simply chat about their reading experiences.
And for anyone needing a confidence boost with technology, don’t forget about the Tech Help Hour every Friday starting at 10:00 am, where our library tech experts are ready to assist with any technology questions. With so much happening this month, the library is the place to be for exploring creativity and getting to know your friends and neighbors. We hope to see you soon!
