Happy New Year from the staff, volunteers, Board of Trustees, and Friends of the Caestecker Public Library!

Now that we’re almost a week into our New Year’s resolutions, I would like to remind folks that we have quite an array of books, DVDs, apps, and resources to help keep you working towards your goals. Whether you’re trying to get fit, save money, live greener, learn a new language, or any number of other things, we have something – probably something new – that can help.

We also take recommendations from library users all the time, so if there is an item you’ve been looking for that we don’t currently own, please let us know. While we can’t purchase everything, we do our best to get the things you want and need.

A quick note on upcoming programs and activities: the January Spice of the Month is Turmeric and kits are available by the front desk while supplies last, the Knitting Group meets Mondays at 10am, the Play & Build group for kiddos and their caregivers runs on Tuesdays at 10am, Storytime with Ms. Margie starts on Wednesday at 10am, Thursday movie matinees begin at 2pm and on January 5 we’re showing the rom com Ticket to Paradise. Next week, the Constant Reader Book Club will be meeting January 11 from 3-4pm and discussing The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot. We hope you’ll pop by for a program, for an armful of checkouts, or for a visit anytime.
