Summer Reading programming begins at the Caestecker Library next week! We are so excited to share all the fun things we have lined up for the summer.
Missoula Children’s Theater is coming to town for a week of a wonderful week of theater education at Thrasher Opera House. During the week, Missoula Actor/Directors serve as ambassadors for the arts and offer workshops to community partners. The workshops act as an excellent primer for kids who might be overwhelmed by the big stage at Thrasher. It’s also a great opportunity for kids who are already excited about theater and performance to continue to work on their skills under the direction of talented Missoula Staff.
- Tuesday, June 17 from 9:00-10:00 AM: children in Grades 1-2 are invited to join us for Drama Quest: Adventures in the Jungle for active and energetic role-playing to exercise problem-solving skills with imagination and communication.
- Thursday, June 19, 9:00-10:00 AM: Grades 3-12 are invited to experience the power of Mime, where actions speak louder than words.
Later in the month, Erik Adel will join us at the library for a special Tech Help session on Saturday, June 21st from 10:00-11:00 AM. Erik is a student at UW-Madison and works at the UW Division of Information Technology. Erik is a passionate believer that everyone should be able to effectively use technology, no matter their age or digital literacy. The topic of discussion on June 21st will be AI Overview and Usage, with time for questions and answers on other tech issues. Coffee and treats will be provided by the Friends of the Library.
Never forget that around all the programs and activities we have planned at any time of the year; the library is always a place where you can come and just be.
- Find a comfy chair and hide from the sun or rain.
- Chat with your friends and neighbors in passing.
- Come to work, play, learn, relax, and be inspired by the stories surrounding you to find an even greater joy in your own. You are welcome here.
