Did you know your local library is your one stop shop for all your printing, copying, scanning, laminating, and faxing needs? If your computer or printer are giving you trouble as they so often do, or if you’re visiting family or vacationing and need to print, just come on over and we will gladly help you with whatever need you may have. Our printer scans and copies quickly and can handle grouped documents automatically, so you don’t have to scan all your pages one at a time. Each black and white copy is $.10 and $.25 for color. Faxing is a dollar a page unless it’s toll-free or local, and then it’s free of charge. Scanning is always free.  Greenlakelibrary.org has a more detailed listing of the variety of services the library offers—you just might be surprised what you find! Come see what we can help you with today or give us a call with any questions at 920-294-3572.

We’re heading into week three of our Read Beyond the Beaten Path summer programming. Have you signed up to log your reading minutes yet? It’s not too late! Beanstack will keep a log of minutes read and reviews of books, give badges for completion of activities and reading goals, and make participants eligible for spin on the prize wheel.  If you prefer to keep a paper log of your reading, that works too.

This weekend brings the beginning of Independence Day celebrations. The library will be closed on the 3rd and 4th to allow staff and volunteers time to spend with loved ones. We will be open as usual Tuesday morning July 5th at 9:00. You’ll want to put it on the calendar for the 5th to stop by the library at 10 am to visit with Kim Bond and Fancy the mini therapy horse in training. We will also be having our Roasts & Reads meeting near the fireplace at 10am (although we might have to visit with Fancy, too). Wednesday brings Storytime with Ms. Margie and a chance for older kids to read to Tia the R.E.A.D. Therapy Dog. Tia is celebrating 500 reading sessions this summer and we are so happy to have her visit with us every summer.

On Wednesday July 6 from 1-4pm there’s another chance to shop the Friends Book Sale. Our Friends book sale coordinators are here almost every day of the week sorting and organizing all the wonderful donations that come through our doors. It’s a big job and they are a superb team. If you’re shopping the book sale, please pass along any compliments you may have but know that the biggest compliment for them is getting books, puzzles, music, and movies into the hands of shoppers. Have a great week, we hope to see you soon!
