For the new year we have some new program offerings in addition to our regular lineup. At the request of a few locals, and since it was always our favorite when we were students, join us for silent reading hour at the Silent Readers Book Club on January 17th by the fireplace. Here’s what to expect: 2:00-2:30pm Get settled & say hello to fellow silent readers, snacks welcome, 2:30-3:30pm Silent reading hour, 3:30-4:00pm Optional socializing to wrap up.

To help with new Christmas presents or lingering issues with personal devices, we’re offering Technology Help Sessions from 10-11am on Fridays in January. Classes are drop in, free, and open to all.

January 5: Setting Up a Device

January 12: Libby/Kanopy/Hoopla/Library apps

January 19: Basic Phone Photography

Movies this month are in the category of book to film adaptations. Films start on Thursdays at 2pm.

January 4: Under the Tuscan Sun

January 11: Death on the Nile

January 18: Hidden Figures

If all lines up as expected, the library will be closed on Thursday January 25th & Friday January 26th to complete the long planned and much anticipated, very noisy, very dusty, in-floor electric addition to the fireplace area. Plastic sheeting will be hung to reduce dust flow and protect the rest of the library. We will open as normal during the following weekend. Many more things are to come in 2024, stay tuned!
