READY FOR AN ADVENTURE? BE A LIBRARY EXPLORER THIS SUMMER FOR A CHANCE TO WIN!
Get ready to hit the road and explore the vibrant communities of Fond du Lac, Green Lake, Marquette, Waushara, and Winnebago Counties with the Winnefox Library Explorer Passport Adventure! This exciting initiative, organized by the Winnefox Library System, invites library lovers and summer adventure seekers alike to embark on a journey to 30 public libraries spread across 5 counties.
From June 1st through July 31st, participants can stop in and check out the unique spaces, free events, services, and collections available in these communities. With each visit to a Winnefox member library, explorers can collect stamps in their passport, earning entry forms for a chance to win prizes. Library explorers can start their adventure by picking up a passport brochure at any public library in Fond du Lac, Green Lake, Marquette, Waushara, or Winnebago County. Each passport highlights library events, fun community facts, and local hot spots.
“We want people to be surprised and delighted by libraries this summer.” said Clairellyn Sommersmith, Executive Director of the Winnefox Library System. “By exploring one, four or all 30 Winnefox libraries, participants will discover a wealth of free resources and fun just waiting for them! I cannot wait to see who participates in this program designed for everyone. Young, old, local, tourist, new to library services, or frequent visitor, you will discover a Winnefox Library that makes you feel like you have cracked the code on summer fun.”
Highlights of the Winnefox Library Explorer Passport Adventure include:
- Library Events: Free events for families and all ages are a summer staple at the library. Learn about dinosaurs or astronomy, test your skills in an inflatable obstacle course, watch a yo-yo comedy show, sing karaoke, attend a concert, and more!
- Tourism Opportunities: Explore hidden gems and local attractions while visiting libraries across five counties.
- It’s Easy to Participate: Simply pick up a passport at any participating library and start exploring! The more libraries you visit, the more stamps you can collect!
- Grand Prize Drawings: Collect passport stamps and enter to win exciting prizes. Visit four libraries in your home county to earn your first entry slip!
- Community Engagement: Connect with fellow library enthusiasts while discovering new communities and resources.
